Zimmer's passion for the arts began when she was in the senior year of High School. She was a student at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. The academy awarded her a drama Dialogue for her work as Catholic School Girls on a stage. Her early work she was a TV guest-star in various TV programs including The X-Files. She appeared in films like Home Room and also had regular roles on shows such as Hyperion Bay. Her first major character on the show Good Morning Miami. After that, she starred in regular roles in series like In Justice Boston Legal and House of Cards. The role she played as Dana Gordon on the HBO show Entourage gained her attention. The show also rewarded her with the Critics' Choice Television Award in her role of Quinn King, in Un REAL. She reprised the role of Gordon on the film comedy Entourage and starred in the movies Results as well as Run the Tide. She is Veronica Cale's voice in Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, a direct-to DVD animated superhero film.
